Chosen design to develop:

I decided to develop Draft Mod2 because I really want to have a half submerged construction underwater. It is quite unique. I also decided to have a kind of 1 elevator tube from the ground building to the floating sphere. The base/lowest level of the sphere is solid the other two levels can be used.

Measurements: 0.5m thickness of each floor, 0.2m thick wall, 3m high for each floor, the Sphere has radius 10m.

I made the ground plain and ocean for the 2 constructions to be placed.

Chosen design for draft 1:

I decided to experiment with this section sketch with words : Resonates and Cubes

Chosen design for draft 2:

I decided to experiment with two of these sections. I wanted to use the ground floor of this first sketch for Shinya Kimuta representing 'Solid' and use the underground/underwater section from the second sketch for Antonio Stradivari representing 'Curvilinia'.

Ideas: Levels, area, possible staircase area

A: YOUR BEST PIECE OF CREATIVE WORK

This Light Chair/Stool was is final product of my HSC Design and Technology Major project. This light chair has incorporated LED colour changing lights which can be switched on or off depending on the environment. It can be used during the day for a more minimalist look with the clear and white acrylic look. This chair really comes to life during the night and can be the centre of attention. It is my best creative work yet!

B: AN IMAGE OF A GREAT PIECE OF ARCHITECTURE

This is the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) in Bangkok, Thailand. I believe that it is a great piece of architecture because of the unique shape and design. The entire temple is surrounded by a wall of abut 2km in length. This temple was built on a the old Bangkok style of as Rattanakosin style. The main temple is very intricately decorated with roof embellishments of polished orange and green tiles. Mosaic art were also laid on the pillars and some part are also decorated with marble. This is one of the oldest and most visited temples in Bangkok due to it's timeless beauty and architecture.

C: AN ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPH OF SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL

This photograph was taken in middle of 2011 near the QVB/townhall underground shopping area. I found this hanging display of coloured flowers and paper butterflies really beautiful. I took this picture from the ground up and the lighting of the area complimented the photograph.
